[img=/images/pogoIT_small.gif Pogo IT]I finally finished the site redesign for Pogo IT a couple weeks ago, but I forgot to post a link here for you to check it out. I was up in Wilmington last week visiting Steve and doing a bit of consulting for their office; with any luck, I'll get to do some work for them. It's such a nice drive I don't mind the distance, although I think it may have caused my allergies to relapse. I would love to have his daily drive to work though: gorgeous trees and mountains and an awesome stream by the road, and on the way home you can see this great waterfall, and light traffic to boot! I really should get a good camera so I can take pictures of some of this stuff. Anyway, I'm ready to start taking on more clients, so if you know any small businesses that need tech support, point them to my site.
Also, I'm once again collaborating with Rich to create a web site for someone he works with. I'll post more details when we get it done. Working on my Pogo IT site has got me excited about web design again, I think it's a nice departure from my standard designs. Even though I didn't use any new coding techniques on that site, I've been working on learning some modern design principles. I think that the majority of people are finally using modern browsers so a fully CSS layout would be acceptable.
I've been considering a redesign for this site, although I'm still tossing around ideas. I think I need to simplify the navigation, remove some of the lesser used pages, and I really need to clean up the back-end. I've had the database driving my site for long enough that I know what I need to change. I'd like to finally add an edit feature, plus make it more mobile-friendly.
Are there any other features in particular that you think I should incorporate in a new design? Post in the comments if you have any ideas. |
